Company
FalkorDB, provider of a high-performance graph database optimized for low-latency, high-throughput AI workloads.
Category
Data Infrastructure (Open-Source Graph Database)
Challenge
FalkorDB needed to launch a multi-cloud managed SaaS offering to meet explosive demand from the GenAI market but faced the immense complexity, cost, and time of building a robust control plane from scratch.
Result
Using Omnistrate, FalkorDB launched its secure, scalable, multi-cloud SaaS solution in weeks, bypassing months of development, minimizing upfront costs, and positioning itself to win in the competitive AI database landscape.
FalkorDB provides a blazing-fast graph database built for modern AI applications. With the explosion of data-hungry Large Language Models (LLMs), FalkorDB saw a critical opportunity within the $200B GenAI market: to power the next wave of AI applications, such as GraphRAG and advanced security analytics, with its ultra-low-latency database.
To seize this opportunity, they needed to move beyond an open-source model and offer their product as a fully managed, multi-cloud SaaS. This would allow them to target the 90% of enterprises operating in multi-cloud environments and provide the ease of use, scalability, and security that modern AI teams demand.
This strategic goal, however, was blocked by a massive engineering hurdle. Launching a true multi-cloud SaaS product required building a sophisticated control plane from the ground up—a project that would divert critical resources from their core database technology.
Intense Time-to-Market Pressure
The GenAI market moves at an unprecedented pace. A traditional "DIY" build-out of a control plane could take years to build and an army of engineers to operate, forcing FalkorDB to miss the critical market window.
Prohibitive Complexity & Cost
Building a multi-cloud control plane meant navigating disparate APIs and services across AWS, GCP, and other clouds. This would require specialized expertise and significant upfront capital investment in infrastructure before landing a single customer.
Resource Drain on Core Product
Every engineer assigned to building billing, user management, or deployment orchestration was an engineer not improving FalkorDB's core database technology—the company's true differentiator.

CEO, FalkorDB

FalkorDB chose Omnistrate to accelerate its GTM and bypass the "build vs. buy" dilemma. Omnistrate provided a full-featured SaaS control plane that was customizable and ready to deploy, enabling FalkorDB to launch their managed service immediately.
Flexible Distribution Models
Omnistrate’s platform provided the power to offer their service across multiple commercial plans from a single plane, including Hosted multi-tenant and dedicated plans, and BYOC deployments.
Full-Featured SaaS Plane
Omnistrate provided all essential SaaS components out-of-the-box, including user authentication, billing integration, monitoring, and automated updates.
Accelerated Deployment
By leveraging Omnistrate’s platform, FalkorDB’s team was able to focus entirely on optimizing their graph database technology while Omnistrate handled the entire SaaS delivery and management layer.
Multi-Cloud Orchestration
The platform abstracted the complexity of multi-cloud management, giving FalkorDB a unified interface to deploy and manage their service consistently across AWS and GCP from day one.
The partnership with Omnistrate allowed FalkorDB to successfully launch its multi-cloud SaaS solution at a speed and cost that would have been impossible to achieve in-house.
Launched in Weeks, Not Years
FalkorDB compressed its GTM timeline from a potential multi-quarter project into a matter of weeks, allowing them to capture early adopters and establish a strong market presence.
Minimized Startup Costs
The company completely avoided the significant upfront capital investment required to build a scalable cloud infrastructure. With Omnistrate, FalkorDB transitioned to a pay-as-you-grow model aligned with customer usage.
100% Focus on Core Innovation
By outsourcing the SaaS control plane, FalkorDB enabled a full self-service experience for its customers while reducing its own operational overhead, allowing engineers to focus on building the best-in-class graph database for the AI era.
Scalability and Flexibility
FalkorDB is now positioned to seamlessly scale with customer demand and adapt to any cloud environment without re-engineering its platform, ensuring high performance and data residency compliance.
FalkorDB's leadership (CTO, VP Eng) needed more than just a tool; they needed a strategic partner to accelerate their vision. They chose Omnistrate over a costly and slow DIY approach because Omnistrate is a "developer framework that enables modern software companies to build and distribute their Software...in days, not years".
Omnistrate provided the fastest, most secure, and most capital-efficient path to market. It allowed FalkorDB to "focus on what matters most: innovating on their core applications" while Omnistrate handled the entire complexity of SaaS distribution and operations.
